Columns and A3

edited June 2007 in General

Hi got a report that is alwasy 2 pages 3 columns and Prints A3 duplex.
So with the folding I require the coverpage to be last. ie Col 3 of
page 2 This is not a problem as I just put the Coverpage subreport last
however how can I reliably ensure that it appears in Column Page 2
Column 3 no matter how many columns of data is contained.

Cheers
Jeremy

    Hi Jeremy,

I'm a bit unclear about exacty what you would like to happen. If there is
enough data to fill up more than the 5 columns you have available, would you
like to cut off the rest of the data and just print the cover page? If this
is the case, you could possibly toggle the visibility of the subreport based
on which column you are currently printing.

    Nico,

Its more the opposite infact. If there is not enough data it never
reaches the 6th column where the cover page should appear.

However I think I have solved it but not sure if its elegant. I added 3
subreports all blank and the height of a column. Based off the
page/column after all the data is printed I turn the visibilty on for
however many columns I require to get the coverpage printing at the end.

It works but like I said not sure if its the correct way :)

    Thanks

    Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for the clarification. I'm glad you got it working. This is most
likely the best way to go about this. There is no built-in feature to skip
pages or columns so the best approach would be to fill those pages with
something such as a subreport when needed.
