Column Reports.
HI.
I really dont seem to be able to get much join from Left to right Traversal
(AS Nico warned)
What I really want is...
3 Columns with the columns each having different widths and starting
positions.
What I have is.
A sub report placed on the detail band of the master report. The sub report
has columns = 3
This delivers a nice equal width columnar report. If only my customer would
settle for this !
As soon as I try to use Page layout to change the column positions, all
columns are offset to the right by about one inch. No matter how hard I try,
I can not get the columns to reposition properly after this.
So I tried using the ColumnPositions property, and this sort of works. It
sets the left position of each column, but does not allow me to set the
widths of each column.
Then on top of this, I need to alter the size of my labels to suit, so I
need to know the width of each column.
Is all this possible, or am I just wasting time.
Thanks in advance.
Tony

Yes there is no concept of column width in ReportBuilder however you can
calculate the relative width of a column using the left positions you
assign. For example if your column positions are 0.25", 1.25", 5.25" on a
8.5" piece of paper your columns would be 1", 4", 3.25" wide respectively.
