Help with image component

Hi there,
My company only has a copy of RB 6.03 to use and I'm running into an issue I
hope has already been resolved in a future version.

The report uses a TppImage component to print 3 images per page with
corresponding text. The total report has 251 image on 142 pages. It it sent
to both the printer and a file at the same time. The file can be brought up
in a viewer and looks fine but the report that is spooled to the printer
occassionally does not display the images. It does display the text that
corresponds to the images however and is the correct number of pages.

When loading the file from disk and printing, it will print fine.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Jacob,

Have you tried recreating this behavior on separate printers? There have
been some enhancements to image processing in ReportBuilder since RB 6.03.
My first suggestion would be to download a trial version of RB 10.06 and
test your report with that. Also be sure you are using the latest printer
driver for the printer(s) you are using.

It is my understanding that the customer has tried several different
printers and has updated all printer drivers. Since this issue is sporadic
at best we have not been able to reproduce it in-house yet.

The issue typically happens only on high-volume reports (140+ pages) and may
start printing blank images half-way through the print process.

I'm sure you can understand our frustration, we cannot send a customer a
trial-version compiled report. If however, we had an excellent reason to
believe the issue would be resolved by upgrading our version of Report
Builder, we would be able to pursue that route.
