calculated fields question

Hi,

I'm using RB10 w/ BDS2006.

I have a table which I access with TQuery. This table has a memo
field which I wish to display on the report, but before doing so,
I'd like to process the db memo field before displaying it.

As far as I know, I need to use a calculated memo field which
will hold the final result of the processed original memo value.

I'm reading the Builder manual and am not entirely sure as
how to proceed with this.

Any hints and pointers appreciated.

What kind of processing needs to be done on the memo field? What sort of
data will be finally displayed? Perhaps a bit more information about your
setup and what you would like your report to display will help us give you
better advise.
