Error when a search tried to highlight some text.

edited January 2008 in General
Delphi7 and RB latest release (10.07)

In the Report preview window I implemented a search by typing in some data
and clicking on the "Find Text" button. Instead of the found text being
highlighted I got an error. I have attached the dialog that appeared but in
case attachments aren't allowed I'll type the message below.

TppCustomSearchPreview.HighlightPage: Cannot highlight Page.
TppTextSearchCustomEngine.CreateHighlightDrawCommand: Could not create
highlight draw command for TppDrawText.
TppTextSearchHighlighter.CreateHighlight: Must use a screen device to
generate highlights. TppDrawText.

    Hi Ian,

Please do not post attachments to these newsgroups. The newsgroup
guidelines can be found at the following website...

This was a bug that was fixed for Build 2 of RB 10.07. Please re-download
RB 10.07 using the same link sent when you upgraded and reinstall.

Sorry about the attachment, I won't do that again.

Was there any difference between build 1 and build 2 for Delphi 7 ? I ask
because when I asked my boss to grab build 2 he said it was the same as
build 1 for Delphi 7. I assumed that the build 2 changes only effected the
more recent versions of Delphi. Can you confirm this ?

    Hello again,

I have just been shown the webpage for ReportBuilder Enterprise 10.07
and the dropdown list doesn't show an "update 2" for Delphi 7 although there
is for Delphi 6 and an "update 3" for 2005 and 2007 versions.

I'm sure you'll be glad to here I have now fixed my problem as I have been
given the latest build. Unfortunately I have now been able to reproduce a
bug shown to me by a user which I will add to a new thread.
