RB and TeeChartPro installation problem

edited January 2008 in General
Hi,

I use Delphi 7, RB 9.02. Recently I've installed TeeChartPro 6.2 and got a
problem of duplication packages (unit TeeAbout is used in both Tee70 and RB
packages). I saw in the news that there is a file
RBuilder/TeeChart/ReadMe.doc with instructions how to fix this problem, but
I don't have it in my folder. Could you please direct me where I can get
this file, or give some instructions how to fix it?

Thanks in advance,
Michael

    Hi Michael,

This error indicates that the original version of TeeChart (4.03) that is
icluded with Delphi is still installed into the Delphi IDE. Try opening the
Installed Components list in Delphi and remove any references to TeeChart
Standard. Once these are gone, be sure all TeeChart Pro 6 packages are
present and checked. Then try checking the RB TeeChart package.

    Hi Nico,

Thanks. I've cleaned up everything from TeeChart 4.03, installed
TeeChart6.01 and tried to installed RB TeeChart component (dclRBC97.bpl).
After compilation of dclRBC97.dpk when I tried to install it I got message
"The procedure entry point @... could not be located in the dynamic link
library rbTCUI97.bpl". Should I recompile any other packages and if yes in
    which order?

    Thanks
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

You first need to be sure you are using a version of TeeChart that is
compatible with the version of ReportBuilder you have. See the
ReportBuilder Reference | TeeChart | Delphi 7 |... section in the help
    for that information.

Note that for the latest release (RB 10.07) we included a utility that
automatically determines which version of TeeChart you have installed and
builds the RB packages based on that version. This removes the need to
    check for compatible versions.
