Using RB with TeeChart 8

We are currently using Delphi 6 Enterprise with RB 9 Standard. As part of
our solution, we offer chart printing with TeeChart 7 Pro. We are
upgrading TeeChart to version 8 very soon. Should we be able to recompile
RB9's packages to make it work with TC8 or do we need to upgrade
ReportBuilder as well?

Hi Rich,

In order to build versions of TeeChart packages greater than 7.0 you need
Update 3 for Delphi 6 to be installed. In our experience, some
instabilities have surfaces with this update installed so it is not
recommended.

I believe we have some customer successfully using later versions of
TeeChart with RB and Delphi 6 however we strongly recommend upgrading your
Delphi and ReportBuilder versions if you plan to use TeeChart 8.

The latest version of ReportBuilder includes the RBTeePackageBuilder utility
that builds and installs the RB/TeeChart packages for you automatically.
