Tutorials: Creating a Report Via the Data Tree
Hi All.
Following this first tutorial, p232 'Use the Data Tree to Lay Out the
Customer Information', step 5:
I'm supposed to be able to drag all the selected fields onto the
workspace and have labels created in the header band with
corresponding DBText components in the detail band.
However, no matter how I try to drag them, or how close to the bottom
edge of the header band I drop, both text and DBText components are
all created in the header. AFAIK the data tree layout options are all
set as described in the text.
Could anyone enlighten me?
Richard

correctly.
I have the data tree configured for the tabular style layout. I select some
fields and drag them to the layout. I position the mouse just above the gray
bar that represents the bottom of the header. Labels are created in the
header with DBText in the detail band.
