a report divided by column and have grouped by

assume I have a table
fieldA fieldB fieldC
aaa hkh kjhkh
aaa jhh yyui
bb kjkl kljkljj
bb 1234 5678
c jkhh 8979879


I want the report group by fieldA and in the detail band, the report divided
into 5 columns, that is
aaa (group header)
(col1) (col2)
hkh jhh
kjhkh yyui
bb (group header)
kjkl 1234
kljkljj 5678
c (group header)
jkhh
8979879

how to do that in report builder 7.03? the worse is all data is stored in
one dataset!! I try to set the report to use pipeline1 and the subreport in
detail band use the pipeline1 again and the result is the report countinue
printing many page!!
I also try to use main report only and set the page layout to use 5 columns,
but the problem is the group header will appear in column 2, or column
5....!!

Hi Kei,

I'm a bit unclear about how the columns relate to the data. Have you
considered placing the FieldB value in the column header and FieldC in the
detail band?

the column need to display both fieldB value(e.g. hkh, hjj....) and field C
value (kjhkh, yyui....), the problem now is the page continue to print!! so
I wonder how to set the datapipeline of subreport!

Setting the pipeline of a subreport can be done from the design window of
the subreport itself. Simply tab to the subreport's design and select
Report | Data from the main menu in the designer.
