Trouble with RB grouping and FDMemTable

Recently converted an app from using ApolloDB to FireDAC's FDMemTable. This is a first experience with FDMemTable, but after making the necessary changes to datasources, my few RB reports seemed to work perfectly - except for one thing - I can't seem to get the grouping to work on a DBCalc SUM field. I think it could be due to how indexes work in FDMemTable, but have yet to figure it out.

Anyone have any experience with FDMemTables and RB?

    UPDATE - with a little help from an AI, I found the answer. If anyone else encounters the same issue let me know and I'll post the whole solution. I doubt that I would have ever been able to find the appropriate information entirely on my own.
