subreport in a footer
I saw another thread on printing a sub report in a footer which doesn't seem
to be possible. That denigrated into a discussion about software legality
after the last given hint was to use a summary band and set the
printpostion. I too am trying to get this to work and am unable to get this
tow rok.
first of all it seems strange that the subreport is not allowed in the
footer. I understand the argument that the footer is fixed but in my case
the footer is always big enough to accomodate the required subreport so why
should it be blocked?
Secondly the summary group print position setting is impossible to get
right. Having anything other than 0 set means the summary band is printed
on the next page. Setting to a value also of 500 for example gives and
error message about not fitting.
So any more ideas on printing dataset in the footer?

Comments
- set the subreport PrintBehavior to pbFixed and resize the subreport
boundary to accomodate the contents
- the Footer is not dynamic height and at this time, a Static height band
cannot accodate Stretchable objects. A pbFixed subreport on the other hand
is a fixed height object and thus will work.
