Icons messed up when editing a report

edited January 2010 in General
I have delphi 7 with 11.04 (and 11.07 build 2), tried on both versions.

The icons in the component editor do not match the components. I have
done a complete uninstall, cleaned up everything related to it (via
instructions if you had a corrupt install), and reinstalled everything.
I have also tried removing all the ini files related to the report
writer settings (ie RBuilder.ini).

In delphi, if I edit a report and the icons are messed up, and I do a
Project - Build all projects, this fixes the icons for a little while,
then they get messed up again. Any other ideas (other than a corrupt
install).

    Hi Jeff,

This is not a known issue. Is this an issue at design time or runtime?
Perhaps try performing a corrupt install cleanup and see if that helps the
    problem.

I have done the corrupt install cleanup several times. Its an issue at
runtime since the reports are loaded at runtime. Ie, I do not develop
the reports at design time in the delphi editor. I load the reports
    from a file.

    Hi Jeff,

Sorry for all the questions, we have not heard of this issue before with RB
11 and are trying to isolate the problem. Just to be clear, you are talking
about the top toolbars in the Report designer?

    1. At design-time, are the toolbar icons in correct order/position?

    2. If you create a minimal end-user designer application, do you still see
the issue (i.e. Form with Report, Designer, and button)?

Just in case it's related. D7 used to mess up its component palette like
that when certain video cards or video card drivers were present. I used to
have to drop the colour resolution down to 16 or 256 colours to prevent it
happening on one particular PC I used.
