tppline not printing

edited February 2010 in General
Hi,

I know this was an issue in 2007, but the thread does not give an answer:
I'm using D2010 with Reportbuilder

I have several Tpplines on my form.
They show nice in the preview, they export correctly to a PDF file, The PDF
prints them too, so that's allright.

But if I print my preview to a printer no Tppline is visible. It applies to
both of my printers: ( laserjet 2200 and CP1518 Color laserjet )

Tppline:
Style = lsSingle
Pen.style = psSolid
Pen.Mode = pmCopy
Pen.Color = clBlack;
Height = 1.8 mm
Width = 100 mm

    Hi Leon,

    We have not heard of an issue like this for the latest version of
    ReportBuilder.

    If you create a simple report containing only lines, are they still not
    showing up? Are you able to print shapes or text with borders?

    Are you able to successfully print to a virtual printer such as Microsoft
    Office Document Viewer or XPS Document Writer?

    Nico,

    Printing to a virtual XPS-printer works fine .
    Printing direct from Windows XP to my (network) laserjet works fine
    Printing direct from Windows 7/64 bit to my (network) laserjet skips Tppline
    Printing to the Virtual XPS-printer, and then print from there to the
    (network) laserjet works fine.

    I use TppLine objects quite extensively and have not seen anything like
    this.

    Can you reproduce it in a demo? If so, I would send it to support in a demo.

    Edward,

    I changed the HP-recommended "HP universal printer driver for
    Windows7/64bit" by the default plug and play driver of windows
    ( not recommended by HP ) and now evertything looks fine.
    Apparently the HP "universal" printerdriver for Windows7 ( 64 bit ) is not
    very universal after all.

    So if you want to reproduce the problem: switch to the "HP universal
    printerdriver", haha.

    Hi Leon,

    Thanks for the update. I'll take a look at this driver.
