empty images when using a PDF-printer

edited February 2010 in General
Hi,

When I print my report ( containing bitmap-images ) to a ADOBE-PDF printer,
the total image is either white or black.

The preview looks allright, I can print the report to a PDF-file using the
Rbuilder PDF-writer, I can print the image to a printer. But I can't print
it to the ADOBE PDF-printer.

Directdraw = true

I did this before ( Delphi 2007 ) and then it worked allright. Now I use
D2010 ( and the latest Rbuilder )

What could be wrong ?

Greatings

Leon

    Hi Leon,

We have not heard of this behavior before. Does this happen with every
image? Have you tried different image formats? Note that ReportBuilder
uses the same code to communicate with every printer driver (which are
mostly generic Windows API commands). It is the job of the printer driver
to correctly process these commands and produce the proper output. The fact
that this is working when you print to your printer leads me to believe that
it is an issue with the Adobe driver.

    1. Be sure you are using the latest Adobe PDF driver.

    2. As a quick test you might try printing to a different (free) PDF printer
such as BullZip or PrimoPDF to see if they get the same issue.
