RB-Translations

edited July 2010 in General
Hi,

we've got a multilingual application, so we use several translations of
RB. There are some that don't get translated at all, and some of them
have missing spaces (like CamelCase).

To show you what I mean, I've created a PDF-File containing some
examples. You'll find it here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?l5khe7ojj7qrso8

We would like to know if there will be a better translation (for now, at
least for the following languages: German, French, Italian). Or is that
already corrected in version 12.x?

Another thing is, I read here in the newsgroup that you plan to
implement a multilingual object inspector? So that we could use
something like a 'Caption' or anything, to simplify the meaning of the
properties for end-users. Any idea when this will be available? Would be
kinda important for us...

Thanks.

    Hi Nicola,

All language translations are done by other customers who volunteer for the
task. Occasionally when we add new properties, it takes a while for us to
    obtain the updated translations.

It is however possible to perform your own translations using the language
app provided on our web site. See the Readme.doc file located in the
\RBuilder\Languages\... directory for more information. Also, if you would
like to make a list of strings and translations that need to be added and
send it to support@digital-metaphors.com, I can add the translations for
    you.

It is still on our to-do list to possibly add the ability to customize the
built-in inspector. Currently the actual property names are used.
