Master detail report dropping Parent items when New Page is set True

I have a Master-Detail report that generates 4 Master Records and 1 detail
record for each Master. On the Main page of my report I have 2 groups. If
I set the New Page property of my second group to True everything generates
properly. If I set the New page property of the second group to False then
my report is missing one of the Master records. Any thoughts or suggestions
as to Why this is happening? Unfortunately I'm Using Advantage components
and specific database layout so I can not easily create this issue using the
demo databases without a large amount of work.

Hi Rodger,

This is not a known issue. Which version of ReportBuilder are you using?

You mention that only one of your Master records does not show up. Which
record is it (first, last, etc.)? Does this particular master have any
detail data associated with it? Does the detail data show up?

Sorry about that I thought I had posted it. I'm using D2007 and RB 11.08.

It is the second Master record that does not appear. Yes it does have a
detail record. The detail only shows when the Master shows. The only
change I make to the report is setting New Page true/false for the second
group.

Hi Rodger,

As a test, try commenting out all event code associated with the report and
see if that helps the issue. If not, we are going to need a simple example
that demonstrates this behavior in order to track down the issue. Although
we would prefer the example to use the demo database, we are able to run
apps built with Advantage. Please however do not send us your entire
project and database. Perhaps a minimal test project that uses a subset of
data from your database.

Send the example in .zip format to support@digital-metaphors.com in zip
