Regions and component paste functionality
On 7/20/2008 I made the following suggestion and it was placed on the
suggested enhancement list. I am again working with regions and the
original action discussed below is still present in RB 11.08. Has the the
suggested functionality been added to RB 12?
If I place components on a region and then move the region, the component
placed on the region move accordingly. In this regard, the region acts like
a panel.
If I copy a component that is on region one, highlight a second region of
identical dimension and paste the "copied" component, the component is not
placed on the second region, but slightly below and to the left of the
original component. In this regard, the region does not act like a panel.
If the copy/paste scenario between region 1 and region 2 acted like the
copy/paste of a component between two panels it would significantly
facilitate design time when multiple regions with identical components were
required.
TIA
