Problem with Report-Parameters of type Double (RB 12.03)

edited February 2011 in General
Hi,

the value-property of report-parameters seem to have trouble with
decimal places if the datatype is double.

If I insert 0.8 it shows 0 (i.e. the decimal places vanish).

Note: I work on a German system and I have to insert 0.8 as 0,8!

Can you reproduce this problem? It seems to be new in version 12.xx

Regards,
Josef

I created a patch for RB 12.03 that will enable you to enter 0,8 when the
Windows regional settings define the decimal separator as a comma. That is
the intent. I emailed you the patch. Registered RB 12.03 customers can
email support@ and request the patch.

    Hi Nard,

In the Netherlands regional settings for a decimal separator are default a
comma. Some users change these settings to a dot. When I deliver a report
with a default parameter value created on a system with different regional
settings would this patch than still work?

    Regards,
    Jeroen.

RB 12 is designed to handle that scenario, yes. The patch is not a
re-design, it is a bug fix for the implementation of the architecture.
