Displaying HTML Data?

edited February 2011 in General
ReportBuilder 12

I have HMTL data stored in a database. Is there a way to report this so
the HTML data is displayed properly?

    Hi Tom,

There is no native way of displaying html docs inside a report however you
can use the TRichView wrapper to do so.

    Hi Nico,

After looking at the suggested site, I have some questions for which I
would appreciate Your insight before I introduce another component set.

    1. If I understand correctly, these components can be used in place of
DBMemo (just substitute) and will display anything (generally used)
that can be contained in an HTML file. Is that correct?

    2. I need to output to PDF. The site mentions that it supports
TExtraDevices but it does not mention your PDF capability. Is that
supported? (I have used TExtraDevices with prior versions of
ReportBuilder but am now using your PDF capability.)

    Thanks for your help.

    Best regards,
    Tom

    Hi Tom,

    1. Yes. They can be used with or as a replacement for the built-in
    TppRichText and TppDBRichText components.

    2. Yes the TRichView component works with out built-in PDF device. In the
past we have worked closely with the TRichView team to resolve any issues
with exporting to PDF using the native PDF device. If you have any issues,
you can email their support or ours and we will find a solution for you.
