Access Violation in Report designer
Hi,
we have a problem with Report Builder Report designer.
If Report Tree (View/Toolbars/Report Tree) is not visible then when I
try to select a component on the report it raises an Access Violation.
using:
Report Builder Enterprise Edition Version 12.04 Build 77
with
Embarcadero® Delphi® XE Version 15.0.3890.34076
in
Windos 7 Englis verion
thank you very much for your support and help

This is not a known issue.
Does this happen with every report or just reports that have already
been created? Is this behavior happening at Delphi design-time or
runtime (or both).

thank you very much for your quick response.
We use pre designed report in a program. After loading the report, user
can modify it move parts add delete components mainly in runtime.
I have debuged the source, and find the error but it is too hard to do
the correction, so I decided I notice it to you.
If I delete the RBuider.ini that is ok, because the tree on the left
side is visible. Please hide the tree, then load a report and try to
select a componenet. Then will raise an AV.

I'm sorry but I'm still unable to recreate this on my machine. My test...
1. Create a new Delphi project. Place a TppReport, TppDesigner, and
TButton on the form.
2. Connect the report to the designer and implement the Button.OnClick
to ShowModal the designer.
3. Run the application, load the designer, hide the Report Tree and load
a report template from file.
4. I am able to successfully select any report components available.

it is no problem, may be I cannot explain perfectly. Now I have made a
screen capture. Please take a look at

there is only one file, it's name is Report editing capture.avi
Please download it.
Thank you very much for your help, best regards

Thanks for the video capture however what I really need is an example of
you recreating this with a minimal example. If you create a new Delphi
application, place an empty report and designer on a form and load it at
runtime, are you able to see the same behavior? Let me know the steps I
can take here (using this minimal app) to recreate it.
