Keeping regions togehter

edited May 2011 in General
Hi,

I have a report with a detail band that contains several regions with
additions to the current record. Depending of values of the detail
record, different sections have to be displayed.
It's very important that all displayed regions have to be kept togehter.

My question: How can I garantee that all sections within a detail band
are kept together?

P.S. Searching the newsgroups I found some postings where you recommend
to use subreports instead of regions. Is it possible to use a subreport
that just displays parts of the current record of the master report?
Otherwise that wouldn't make sense for me.

Thanks in advance.

Addition: Meanwhile I got a good result using subreports with the same
datapipeline as the main report, but the range set to CurrentRecord.

That seems to be more reliable than using regions.

    Hi Uli,

Great, glad you got it working. Yes, subreports are the way to go if
you need to keep multiple regions together due to the fact that
ReportBuilder does not support nested regions.
