Deliver archive of sourcecode in stead of Executable setup?

edited February 2012 in General
Hi,

Up until now, every new version you publish is deliverd as an executable
setup.
We have the current source of RebortBuilder in our svn repository, included
in our own libraries.

So to update our libraries, we have to install teh executable, copy and paste
the source files from the install location to our library source location,
and then uninstall the Rbuilder setup again.

It would be of great help to us, if you people created a possibility to download
the latest version source code in an archive, in stead of an executable setup!
Any plans along that line?

For whatever it is worth, I love the way Digital-Metaphors executables
work. Their setup application nicely uninstalls and reinstalls the
product, and it works much better than my experience with some other
    third party products.

I have had bad experiences with other suppliers that supply only an
archive. Usually the problems involve new package names and getting
them to install properly. If Digital-Metaphors does ultimately provide
that option to you, I hope it is only an option so I can avoid the DLL
version hell that often results with that methodology of updating
    versions.
