Bug: PDF output when default printer is "Generic/text only"

edited May 2012 in General
Hi,

we found a problem in ReportBuilder PDF output. The output seems to be
affected by the selected Windows default printer.

If our application generates a PDF file while running from a Windows
user account, which has a "Generic/text only printer" selected as
Windows default printer, then the PDF is flawed: Some texts are
truncated/clipped, some date fields are in the wrong place (~ 1 inch off
to the left) .

However if a printer of another type ("real" printer, PDF printer,
Microsoft XPS printer...) is selected as Windows default printer, the
PDF is OK.

The problem seems to be in both RB 12.x and RB 14.x.

If you need example PDFs for further information, please let me know.

Best regards,
David

    Hi David,

Please send a simple example report I can run on my machine that
demonstrates this issue using the Generic/Text driver. Send the example
    in .zip format to support@digital-metaphors.com.
