Design > Preview not showing
Hi
I have just installed 14.05 into Delphi 2007
In the designer, when I switch between Design and Preview the menu bar
changes and the Page x of x changes but the main screen remains displaying
the designer.
To illustrate this I have created a small video which can be down loaded
from
http://www.pcdata.co.uk/images/rbpreview.wmv
Can you please help as I need to release an update of my application but
cannot do so with such problems.
Thanks

This is not a known issue nor have we seen anything like this before.
My first thought is that you have a corrupt installation. Try
performing a corrupt install cleanup, then reinstall ReportBuilder.

If this does not help, perhaps try installing to a different machine and
see if you get the same behavior.

I had forgotten I had exactly the same issue on 14:03 - please see my
newsgroup message of 08/02/12.
The problem lies with the setting to show a single page preview - if this is
not set the behaviour I describe occurs, if the value is set then the
display shows the page correctly.

I took a look at your post from February and it does appear to be the
same issue. I responded asking for steps to recreate this issue using
our end-user demo or a simple example I could run here. There was no
response to this via email or newsgroup but it applies here as well.
If you are unable to recreate this with a simple app or our demos, it is
likely a threading issue you are encountering. The multi-page previewer
uses a background thread to generate pages in order to allow viewing and
generating simultaneously.
Does your application possibly have data controls (on a form) connected
to the same datasets the report is using?

Your are correct that I did not previously send over an example as I had
just returned from holiday and did not have any time to dedicate to the
issue.
Using the XE2 (32bit) end user example for Advantage I have been able to re
create something like the issues I have encountered and will email a zip to
support@dm
