Updated Delphi XE and now a problem

Hi

Delphi XE - Report Builder 14.07

This problem is of my own making - I was updating IntraWeb and the
associated TMS IntraWeb components.

Everything Report Builder related was working fine before I made the
changes.

After updating the above applications I now get the following error

[DCC Fatal Error] Alarm.dpr(215): F2051 Unit ppChrt was compiled with a
different version of TeCanvas.TTeeGradient

I have tried re installing 14.07 but this has had no effect.

Can you please advise me what I have done wrong and the recovery procedure.

Hi Philip,

Your application is likely pulling in an older .dcu or package that was
compiled with an earlier version of TeeChart.

Please perform a corrupt install cleanup to completely remove all RB
related files from your machine then re-install ReportBuilder.

Hi

I uninstalled/re installed everything as per instructions but still no joy.

I uninstalled/re installed my 2012 TeeChart again still no joy.

In the TeeChart folder is a TeeRecompile.exe and when I ran this it
identified an older copy of the Tee Chart Binaries which it move to a back
up folder and everything now runs OK.

HOWEVER during the installation of 14.07 multiple access violations were
experienced. These were repeated when I installed Delphi 2007 and XE3
versions of 14.07. Should I be concerned?

HI Philip,

The TeeChart installer should have moved the older files to a back-up
folder during installation. This is likely the reason you were getting
the error.

Nevertheless, it is probably a good idea re-install ReportBuilder after
you run the TeeRecompile.exe app, or manually run the RB/TeeChart
package builder to ensure it is installed correctly on your machine.

above step and continue on.

Any views on the Multiple Access Violations I am now receiving when
installing RB 14.07 ?

Hi Philip,

When are you receiving the AV's? If it is during the TeeChart
integration step of the installation, you can try to manually run the
RB/TeeChart package installer and see if you get the same issues.

If everything is functioning correctly however, you may not have
anything to worry about.
