Using design layer as letter head

Hi,

I have the use for implementing a letter head as a design layer (page
style). The data comes from the database (name of the company etc).
Other fields are calculated in RAP. This works.

I would like to save this layer and apply it to other reports. When
saving the layer I have only the option to save it to the database. Not
a big problem but saving to file would be handy for example to send it
to the customer.

The bigger thing is that loading the design layer doesn't load
associated dataviews and RAP events. Is this a bug?
This reduces the use of design layers in my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback.

1. DesignLayer Open/Save menu options

These default to file or database depending upon where the report templates
are being stored. I will add your request to the ToDo list.

2. A DesignLayer enables a logical grouping of components. When saving to a
template only the components are saved. RB DataModules and CodeModules can
be exported on their own. Will add your request to the wish list.
