Excel exporting

edited May 2013 in General
If this is the wrong place to post this sorry.

Sometimes when printing a report to excel, lines are being skipped in
the report and incorrect values are being printed in the report. They
show up fine in the preview form and when printing to csv it works.

Any ideas,

    Jeff,

Not trying to single you out, but please configure your newsreader to use
    your full name when posting.

Also, you don't specify what ReportBuilder version and Edition you are
using, please check the Help | About box and include that information in
    future posts.

ReportBuilder has two XLS output devices, XLSReport and XLSData. These are
explained in detail in the RBuilder Help topics for TppXLSReportDevice and
    TppXLSDataDevice.

If you are not using RB 14.08, then try downloading a trial and perform the
    same test.

If you would like to create an example that I can build and run here, I can
take a look at it. Please use standard Delphi components and RB. Use the
DBDemos data or dump some data to TClientDataSets. Send in zip format.

Keep in mind that the XLS format is very primitive, it consists only of
fixed width Columns, and for XLSReport, mapping the Page element positions
to a Column is always going to encounter limitations - inaccuracies.
