RB15.04 report viewing issue of TppDBMemo

edited October 2014 in General
Hi,

I've encountered an unusual issue with display of a TppDBMemo field in
an embedded report.

When viewing my report in "Page width" mode the field displays fine,
including stretching over to the next page.

Viewing at "100%" the TppDBMemo text prints down past the footer and
overlaps text.

Viewing in "Whole page" mode, the text shrinks and the report displays
noticeable white space - this white space disappears in other view modes.

When outputting the report to PDF, the "100%" view is used to generate
the PDF and will subsequently contain overlapping text.

The TppDBMemo properties have Visible, Transparent, Stretch, and
ParentDataPipeline set as True. CharWrap and RemoveEmptyLines are set to
False. Font is Arial, 10pt. All other settings (apart from defining the
data pipeline) are as default. There are also no additional display
components below the TppDBMemo within the Detail band.

To replicate, manually switch report views on a report containing a
TppDBMemo with several records containing many lines of text, some of
which span past a page.

Environment: RB Pro 15.04, Win7 Pro (x64), and XE5 with NexusDB V4.0005.

    Hi William,

First, I recommend updating to RB 15.05 and retest. (Please always update to
the latest prior to reporting an issue). If you need download info, please
send serial number and registration to info@ and request it. Also please
    configure your email client to
accept digital-metaphors.com as a safe sender so our emails are not routed
    to spam/junk.

If you have an issue with RB 15.05, please create a simple example that we
can build and run in the debugger. Please use standard Delphi components
and RB. Use the DBDemos data or copy data to TClientDataSets. Send in zip
format - include only .dpr, .pas, .dfm. Send to support@

    Hi Nard,

    Done..

    ..and Done.

The issue is still in 15.05 but is less severe i.e. the spacing is less
dramatic. Outputting to PDF still shows the text overlapping.

    Done.
