deploying language files and using runtime packages.

edited September 2002 in End User
Hi
I am using D5, RB 6.03.

I have set the default language to danish.
When deploying exe-files without runtimepackages the Reportdesigner speaks
danish.
When deploying WITH runtime packages the reportdesigner speaks english
(because of missing .DAN files, I guess)
In my developer-environment the package-solution works (speaks danish) when
(and only when) I am having rbXXX.DAN in my WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory (Using
Win2000).
But (and here is my problem) when I test my application with
runtime-packages on a Win98 computer it doesn't work even if I deploy
rbBDE55.bpl,
rbDAD55.bpl,
rbDADE.dan,
rbDB55.bpl,
rbDIDE55.bpl,
rbIDE.dan,
rbPrint.dan,
rbRap.dan,
rbRCL55.bpl
to windows\system directory.

Am I missing something ?

If the resource files are placed in the windows system directory of the
client machine, as specified in the installed RBuilder\Languages\Readme.doc,
then it should work. Have you tried setting the language property of the
report to danish at runtime in your distributed application?

    I found out myself:

The rtm-file on the testmachine did not contain the line Language=lgDanish

Yes, that's it. I found out simultaneously as you can tell by my other
    post.
