Problem Linking Queries that are Sorted by Calculated Fields

edited April 2003 in End User
I am having a problem linking queries that are sorted by calculated fields.
When dragging a link from a secondary query to the primary query (sorted by
calc field), the link is joined but cannot be editted. A list index out of
bounds error occurs. Also trying to link using the right click link option
does nothing. Then closing the app brings up a list of access violations. I
can reproduce this error in the demo database.

I am assuming that there is a reason why this is not working, but should the
ugly error be displayed? Is there a workaround to this?

Any comments or suggestions would be great.

Thanks.

    Isaac,

I did not see which version of ReportBuilder you are using. If you haven't
already, try downloading the trial version of ReportBuilder 7.02 and see if
your results change. If this does not help, please send a small working
example demonstrating the error to support@digital-metaphors.com and we'll
    take a look.

I am using RB 6.03 with Delphi 5. I can't install the demo for 7.02 without
uninstalling 6.03. Has this issue been fixed in version 7?

    Isaac,

Yes, this issue was addressed and fixed in ReportBuilder 7 and should work
for you in the latest version.
