RB7.03 Delphi 5, output from print preview and print are not the same

Hi,

I just upgraded from Report Builder pro 5.5 to Report Builder pro 7.03 for
Delphi 5.



On the same report, RB5.5 and RB7.03 do the same print preview.

When I print the current page, RB7.03 printer's output differs from print
preview, some previewed data are printed on the previous page.



This report is created in code, we don't use report builder design
capabilities.



Is it a know problem? What can I do to correct it?

Thankyou for upgrading!

Depending on which version of RB 5.5x you have, we completely replaced the
text engine from scratch in 5.54. That could be one change which you are
seeing the results of in your preview.

Is the preview or printout incorrect or are they paginated correctly,
although differently?

Are records being reprinted on two pages across a page break?

Is the printer you preview the report for different than the report that is
selected in the print dialog? If so, then the problem is that each printer
driver paginates differently. We use the printer driver to paginate for the
screen preview as well as the printout.

If you are using the same printer for RB 5.5 as RB 7.03, then it is possible
that the preview is different. Are you using rich text? We made changes to
the rich text rendering in fix a bug or two on the generation of the rich
text.
