Naming autosearch criteria

edited March 2004 in End User
Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way to change the name of an autosearch
criterium in end user reporting. Now my users can give an alias to a field
so they see the alias in the conception window, but in the autosearch
dialog the name of the database field is shown (which is sometimes quite
cryptic). Is there a way to allow my end users to rename a criterium to
something more understandable for the other users of the reports who know
nothing of the database structure?

Thanx.

    Hi Luc,

Currently there is a patch for ReportBuilder 7.03 that allows you to change
the Field Alias in the "Fields" tab, and this will be reflected on the
autosearch dialog. If you have ReportBuilder 7.03 and are interested in
this patch, please send a message to support@digital-metaphors.com and we'll
    send it to you.
