Report builder Print to file set up

v6.X Trying to 'print to file' for an excel spread sheet, but I want a
dbmemo in the print to file setup option, but this is not allowed.

I tried just passing it as text, this is ok if I save it as excel format but
excel encounters corruption and is unstable (v4 to v7 upgrade troubles). So
I need to save it as csv or tab, this then messes up the layout as the memo
may have commas tabs or returns in it.

Any suggestions how I can print to file a memo field in a tab of csv format
without the memo messing the layout up when I pass it to excel, or the
function to put memo's in the print to file setup.

Help would be much appreciated

    Hi Antony,

    Which third party utility are you using to export to Excel? It would be the
    job of that software to allow the exporting of dbMemo objects to an Excel
    file. I would suggest contacting the support department of the export
    utility software you are using and seeing if they have any information on
    this issue.
