DEPLOY ?!
Hi People!
I am with a problem in the report of the end-user!
In mine it schemes of development executes perfectly, however in the
end-user the report is changing of pages very slowly. It would like to know
what I must make to distribute applications in Delphi with Report Builder?
I use Delphi 2005 and report to builder 9
I am testing report builder!
Thaks.

This is not a known issue. How are the end-user reports changing? Are you
loading saved templates? Perhaps a little more information about your
end-user application will help me track down the issue.

Thanks for the information however that does not give me a very clear
picture of how your application is working. How are these end-user reports
changing on your clients' machines? First, give me an overview of what your
application does, then describe in detail the exact issue your clients are
having. This will help me understand better what the problem could be.

Well, i develop one application with Delphi 2005 and Report Builder 9 (i'm
testing RB) in mine it schemes functions perfectly (in my develop-machine),
however, when I carry through deploy (only copy App.exe and rtm's files),
Report Builder show me a great slowness, when I change of page in my report.
The big question is, "Exists some library(*.dll, or other extension) to
register in client machine?"
It forgives for the upheaval,
Debtor for the attention!

There should be no difference in execution speed between your machine and
your client's. The fact that your reports print quickly on your setup, and
prints slowly on your client's leads me to believe that this is not a
ReportBuilder issue. There are many factors that can affect the speed of a
report. What type of Database are you using? Is it indexed? Are your
clients accessing it over a network?

No use local area network.
If the report generates quickly on your machine and slowly on another, there
has to be a difference between the two setups. There is no difference
between how ReportBuilder generates reports in a development environment and
a deployed application. Try to find out the differences in the two setups
that could be causing this slowdown. Is every report slow?

No, end-user machines do not need to be registered with a library or any
other method to use an application with ReportBuilder included.

component, but, midas.dll registered ok!
In my machine (lab machine) ok! Perfectly.
As a first step, try creating a database application that does not include
RB and get that working on the client machine. From your descriptions, you
may be having some problems with the DB client software that need to be
worked out. Once you get this working, try adding ReportBuilder back to the
application and see if you get better results.
