Prompting for paramteres when report is run

Greetings,
I'm sure I've seen this before but sure can't find it now.

I have the end user reporting system built into my application.

My end-user(s) create a report but they want to enter a date range each time
the report is run.

Is there a way to prompt for dates each time the report is run vs. modifying
the query/sql?
