New Blog Posts: Merging Reports - Part 1 and Part 2

Okay, need another plan on creating reports...

edited October 2002 in Devices

I received the posts on the auto numbering issue with the BMP type file,
but that merely points to another glaring problem with my plan. My goal
is to send the 'report' generated at the users machine to the FaxServer
which will automatically send the report to the client listed. I need
these Report Builder reports to go as ONE file! I can't have the
FaxServer sending one page per job to the client as there will be
between 2000 and 4000 faxes sent per day if they are NOT one page per
job! Basically, I need a suggestion how to send the reports to AsyncPro
for faxing, one file per job. The reports include lines and check boxes
as well as text. Not really any special 'graphic' characters except
those listed above. Many of the jobs will be one or two pages, but some
will be 10-20 pages as well. Should I create a TIF file? Can I get the
report to include all pages in the report into one file? Does anyone
have any other suggestions?

Open to everything at this point!

Windows 2000 Server (Server)
Windows 2000 Professional (Workstations)
Report Builder Enterprise for Delphi 6 (update patch 2)
TExtraDevices version 2.0
AsyncPro 4.04

TIA

If you are using Async, just use the printer driver included with the product.
