ppShape.Brush.Style not printing diagonals

edited June 2006 in Devices
The following is a question I asked before but never got an answer. Still
having this problem with printers such as HP Officejet 7410 etc.

" Does anyone know why the ppShape.Brush.Style (such as bsFDiagonal) will
not
print for some laser printers? I have noticed for some of my clients, for
instance, one with an HP Laserjet 1200se, it will not print the diagonals.
On most printers, such as an HP Deskjet 820c, it prints fine.

I have updated the clients printer driver to the latest and still does not
print. I have the Standard Edition of Report Builder V9.02 and have Delphi
7. The client in this example is on Windows XP.

Any suggestions??? "

Anyone else have this problem? If so, what is the fix?

Also, I did a simple test with a single ppShape on a report with diagonal
Brush.Style and it fills in the whole shape with black.

Thanks,
Ron

    Hi Ron,

Try downloading a trial edition of RB 10.03 and see if that helps. We made
a small fix to the way certain brush styles are rendered. I'm not sure this
will help but it's worth a try.

ReportBuilder uses very basic windows API commands to communicate with every
printer. It is up to the author of the printer driver to properly support
    these commands.
