Hello, I am using RB9 and i have a report with some labels at 90 degrees on the header Arial 8pt, the report previews ok and prints ok, but when output to PDF the vertical text is missing.
if i enable autosize then the text is output into the pdf but in the wrong place, like the PDF output uses the wrong anchor point or base line.
consider the examples below (but rotated 90 degrees)
--- denotes text box this is what is placed on the report and what previews and prints ---------------------- | Some Vertical Text | ----------------------
This is what is exported to PDF
Some Vertical Text ---------------------- | | ----------------------
I have done some more testing and found the following
If the text is left justified and autosize then when converted to pdf it is almost right, it comes out but the position is a few mm out of alignment. any other justification it is way out.
I have run through as many tests as I can and am certain that this is functioning correctly for the current version of ReportBuilder. Looking at some of the past bug fixes, it looks as though this bug was found and fixed around the time RB 10.03 was released.
Does removing AutoSize fix the problem? As a workaround you could possibly turn AutoSize off when exporting to PDF.

Which actual version of ReportBuilder are you using? In my testing with the
latest version (RB 11.01) the issue does not seem to be present.

TEST1.BMP (RB9.03 preview screen grab)
TEST2.BMP (Adobe viewer screen grab of PDF)
TESTVERTICAL.RTM (rtm file used in example).

Can you try the rtm file I posted.
With Autosize off then text is always missing in pdf, with autosize on it
only works if left justified and accuracy of placement in PDF is poor.

I tried exporting your template using the latest version of RB and it
exported successfully.
