Report Builder And Export Device to RTF Files

Hello,
I am testing component Pragnaan Device Exports for Report Builder version
11.06 and I wonder if the Report Builder is any inconsistency with respect
to export to RTF format.

The component "Professional Export Devices for ReportBuilder" does not
export correctly reports from Report Builder to RTF format. I contacted the
Pragnaam but have not had to answer it.

I was experimenting with other partners in the Digital Metaphors, such as
the Gnostic and the problem persists.

It may be bug in the components of the partners or in the Report Builder. I
tested the Fast Report, and export to RTF format is perfect.

I wonder if the problem is in Report Builder or the ingredients of the
partners.

Hi Eliseu,

ReportBuilder does not currently natively support exporting to RTF format.
This is a feature we are strongly considering adding for a later release.

If you are having an issue with a third party export utility, try to get a
message to their support team. If there is an issue with ReportBuilder,
they will contact us with more information as we do not test their products
with ours.

Hi Nico,

In my before message, I explain that using Pragnaan exports or GNostice
(eDocEngine), both components don't work in RTF Formatt.

So I thought it could be something related to the Report Builder. I cited
the fact that Fast Report (competitor) work correctly because it is normal
to export the file to get all messy.

I thought that by being partners of Digital Metaphors had a direct
communication compatibility between products.

Anyway thank you for attention. Have I contacted the support of Pragnaan,
and I am waiting for a response from them.

Hi Eliseu,

What specific issue are you having with the export to RTF? Does this happen
with every Report? You might try contacting Gnostice support as well, they
tend to be more responsive.

Hello,

When I export a report to Report Builder to RTF format it not keeps the
format of the report. The file is with the layout all mangled. This is the
problem.

I need to generate export files identical to the report in terms of layout,
logos, tables.

As I tested the two components (PsExportDevices - Pragnaan and eDocEngine -
Gnostic) thought it might be something with the Report Builder.

I will send an e-mail to the Gnostice and expect an opinion of them.

What about the report is "mangled"? Are the components simply in the
incorrect position? Are certain components shifted in a certain direction?
Are certain components simply not displaying correctly?

You might consider creating a simple example that the third party developers
can test with. If you would like, you can also send an example report that
causes issues to me and I can take a look at it for you. Send all examples
in .zip format to support@digital-metaphors.com.

What are you using to look at the RTF's. The reason I am
asking is that I have used Pragnaan and Gnostice and they
look perfect in MS Word 2003 but look messed up in
MS Word 2007 and MS Word 2010. In looking at the
RTF it looks like there are a number of positioning statment
posy and when these are going down the page things are
fine, but it tries to put text above where it's currently at
on the page, then it puts in a page break.
