ReportBuilder Professional 10.09 for Delphi 2006
We have moved our development from Delphi 7 to Delphi 2006. We are
having difficulty porting D7 apps that use RB.
Specifically, ADSSession is not listed in the dropdown for
BuilderSettings.SessionType.
Is there any documentation that describes how to install / integrate
daADS / rbADSxxx into Delphi 2006? ... the MSWD doc in the
Advantage\Native folder applies to Delphi version prior to Delphi 2006.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Patrick?

You are going to need to compile and install the rbADS1010.dpk located in
the \RBuilder\Demos\4. EndUser Databases\Advantage\Native\... directory to
have the ADSSession type available in the Delphi IDE. You may need to alter
the Requires clause of the package to match the package versions and names
used for your version of ReportBuilder and Advantage.
The same information applies that is given in the ReadMe.doc even though it
may refer to an earlier version of Delphi.

and then selected the rbADS1010.dpk located in the Advantage\Native
folder.
An error popup was displayed with "Invalid Package File..." message.
Any ideas?

You first need to compile the rbADS1010.dpk package before installing. Take
a look at the steps outlined in the ReadMe.doc located in the Advantage
directory, specifically the "Compiling the ReportBuilder DADE Advantage
Package" section.
