D7 Enterprise 11.04 install

I have updated to 11.04 in advance of some new work involving DADE. When I
select the Data Tab and the menu item DataSettings, Delphi closes! No
warnings, no request to Save, just exits!

There was an inadvertent install of a trial version; however, I uninstalled
that in advance of installing the update. Can you give me some guidance on
troubleshooting this? My steps are:

New Application
Report component (btw, it takes 10 seconds for this to instantiate!)
Data Tab
Select Data Settings (Delphi aborts)

Update to earlier post: I uninstalled using a document from you for corrupt
install cleanup and reinstalled version 11.01 and everything works. I think
there is a bug in 11.04?

Hi Sher,

Did you try reinstalling RB 11.04 after you did a corrupt install cleanup?
Once you do, try deleting the RBuilder.ini file located in the
\AppData\Local\RBuilder\... directory and see if that helps.

In my testing I was unable to recreate the issue and the designer loaded in
less than a second. What type of printer are you using? Is it on a
network?

Hi Nico!

Thanks for the prompt reply--I had to get an update to a current report
done before I could try again. You were right! I renamed the .ini and
reinstalled 11.04 and it works fine.

I did notice, however, that the update to daADO.pas method
ValidDatabaseTypes did not come through. As a reminder, this was a change
per your 12/02/08 email which added dtPostgreSQL to the Result list. I'll
just make the change here but if you could flag for the next release that
would be great!

Also, I changed my default printer to a non-network printer and the
component instantiates very fast now. Thanks for the hint and I'll have our
people look at the printer setup.

Hi Sher,

I just checked my installation of RB for Delphi 7 and our master file and
the fix for daADO was present. Are you certain you are using the latest
(11.04) source?
