Rap <-> Active Scripting
Hello,
i have played a lot with active scripting (VBScript, JScript) and it is easy
to implement and also is fast and teh best, the integration of the ms
debugger is supported.
For future versions of RAP i think it would be a good idea, to also allow
the languages supported by the microsoft scripting host. So the user could
vote: native pascal script, or any ms scripting language.
For endusers it is easyer to use VB, because it is the same language as used
in office. Also it is threadsafe.

Thanks for the suggestions!
RAP is threadsafe in RB 7 and later.

I think the question was mainly about using VB as reports language. I
have the same issue here. In some parts of my apps, I'm using Active
script to implement some end-user macro. The difficulty with
Calculation in ReportBuilder for the end user is to learn another
language (VB & Pascal)
I love pascal, but none of my end users know it
Thanks,
Pascal

Thanks for the suggestion. It is something that we can consider for the
longer term future. As momentum moves towards the .Net platform we need to
investigate the possibility of supporting VB .Net or C# .
