PHP/JS reporting on a web page

Hi
We have clients with customer web portal and part of this is allowing users to view and download PDF files that are created using local applications with RB. Ideally we'd like to create these on the fly using PHP and or JS. We've managed to achieve to a point by loading in the params and position of the components from the RTM file. But is there a better way ? Database is MySql on hosted server that we don't control/
Thanks
Andy

  • Hi Andy,

I suggest taking a look at the Server edition of ReportBuilder. It allows you to preview, print, export, and manipulate (via autosearch) any report template using a simple web interface. It would be fairly simple to set up an RB Server and link to it from your existing website giving users the ability to export reports easily. A live demo of the server is available here.

  • Hi Nico

I have a look at the server edition but I think it needs to be on a windows server ?
  • Hi Nico

Can the data be in a different place to the reports? Our data will be on remote MySql servers.
