Data Modules!!
D5 RBPro-v5.56 Win98se
Three years ago, when our developement team began thinking about report
writing, we went with Report Builder. From that time, we had planned to
stick data access and reports, many of which had to be used in multiple
locations, on data modules.
Well, I had never had any problems with this method...untill RbPro v5+. Now,
I get a dialog telling me that there are known issues using a report
component from a data module. Well, I understood this, but I had never had
any of those problems before. But now, I do get problems. VCL50 exceptions,
when trying to edit the report, or create new one. Operations like copying
and pasting, or cutting and pasting. I figure it must be the report builder
because I never get these errors or ide problems anywhere else.
Now, I know you have issues, but I never did until recently. So, what I
would like to know is when these issues will be cleared up, because I have
45 reports built (still working, thanks), and another 200 or more to do, and
I will have to be anesthetized if I have to put up with vcl 50 exceptions,
ide crashes, etc.
Thanks in advance.
