Import/Export End User Report to Database Tables
Hi!
I created a report using the report explorer that we created for the end
user. I have since decided to "place" the report template into the database
(SQL7) tables instead of the rbitem, rbfolder, etc of the end user tables.
I loaded the the report in the end user (Report Explorer) design environment
and did a "Save to File" to store the *.rtm file on my hard drive.
I then placed a Report Component on a form in the application and tried to
do a "Load from File". It loaded except the data tab that has the "Result
set" will not display the data. I get an error message that reads
Invalid alia DCmedman.
DCmedman was the alias the end user report explorer used for its stuff.
How do I get the data to now look at a different database component. It
seems to be embedded in the rtm. I could not figure out how to delete the
stuff off of the data tab and rebuild it either.
I don't want to have to rebuild the header, detail, footer bands on the
report itself?
Any suggestions??
thanks,
Bo Manry
