Newbie Question Can't Quit D6

edited August 2001 in General
I have a rather large application under development. Since adding
ReportBuilder I find that I can't change to a different project. I have to
kill D6 as when I try and quit it hangs at 100% cpu usage. If I uninstall
ReportBuilder it works normally. I am running D6 E, RB6.01 Pro, IP3000
Early August final release, and ABC 6.01 latest release on Windows 2000
Server with SP2.

I have D6, RB, and IP3000 installed on Win 2K, but don't have ABC installed
or SP2 for Win2K. We haven't heard of this behavior before.

    Is the ReportDesigner open?

Is this in a project group, or are you opening a project outside of any
    groups?

What happens when only RB is installed, and no other 3rd party components?

    Has anyone else noticed this?

    No.

    I haven't tried that yet.

I am not running in a project group. Just a single project.

I completely uninstalled everything and reinstalled all products from D6 on
and now they work as they should.
Sorry for the inconvenience. I haven't a clue other than that their have
been updates applied and I started with your demo version, uninstalled it
and then installed the purchased version.

I have a lot of 3rd party components and noticed (suspected
anyway) that after installing RB, I would get more lockups in
Delphi particularly when I was working in RB. Decided that
was a fact of life if I wanted to use RB. Only thing I can suggest
is to shut down and restart Delphi as soon as you notice anything
    "squirrelly". HTH
