ReportBuilder 6.02 trial and Teechart 5.02 trial

edited October 2001 in General
Jim,

I did what you hav recommended with the patch. First i just compiled the
package file from Rbuilder\source directory and I received the internal
error message than I did as explained in the readme file inside the patch
and it worked. Now I can work with Teechart but when I tried to compile the
project I received the following error. Is this because of trial version or
I did somehing wrong.

[Fatal Error] rbTC66.dpk(37): Unit ppChrt was compiled with a different
version of Chart.TCustomChart

Do you have another solution.?

Regards, Faruk

The trial version is the problem. You'll need the source to Teechart in
order to recompile. You'll have to purchase a license for Teechart to get
the source, or wait until we have a maintenance release which fixes the
problem. If you wait for our maintenance release, then you'll still need to
build with runtime packages if you are going to distribute with teechart and
    ReportBuilder.

Tech Tip: Resolving Compile Error w\TeeChart
    ----------------------------------------------

When using TeeChart and ReportBuilder in Delphi you will encounter this
    error message upon compiling.

In order to get around it you can:

    1. Build your project with packages.

    2. Purchase TeeChart Pro from www.teemach.com

The TeeChart author did not include all of the units to TeeChart in the
free version included with Delphi. (TeeMach the authors of TeeChart do
not receive any money from Borland for the inclusion of TeeChart with
    Delphi).
