Master Data Pipeline

Hi

When you have a Master Detail Report and you connect a DataPipeLine
component to a datasource that is connected to a dataset that has a
master/detail setup, the 'MasterDataPipeline' and 'MasterFieldLinks'
properties of the datapipeline component is not automatically set. Must
this properties be always double checked manually by the developer?

The RB Help says the following about the 'MasterDataPipeline' and
'MasterFieldLinks' properties:

'For the DBPipeline and BDEPipeline classes this property is informational
only and does not trigger any automatic record filtering logic'

I use DBPipeline components and when these properties are not set, my report
does generate correctly. When these properties ARE set the report generates
correctly?

Our DADE linking implementation creates the same data pipeline objects and
these properties are used internally by DADE. You don't need to set these
two DBPipeline properties, when their datasets are already linked.
