Converting v5.0 --> v6.02: A component already exists ERROR

Hello!


Recently I had a problem with DADE when loading v5.0 reports into 6.02. I
have resolved this thanks to the patch Digital-Metaphors have provided.
Thank you! But now I have another problem.


When opening some (still v5.0) reports in v6.02, I get this error: 'A
component named [component_name] already exists in a descendant form.' I get
this error in 9 of 74 reports I've been converting into 6.02 (in others
there were only problems with calculate fields, which were easily resolved).
Anyway, [component_name] is usually a band (like ppPageStyle7), but
sometimes it is also something else, like label, system variable etc... What
I find interesting is, that there isn't always the same component named when
opening the same report. Sometimes only the number at the end of the name
changes, and sometimes it is a completely differnet name.


Any ideas what could be the problem?

We haven't heard of this behavior before. Can you create a couple of simple
reports in which you are using forms inheritance, and get this error upon
loading to 6.02. Send the sample project in RB 5.0 format to
support@digital-metaphors.com
