How to get report Grand Total??

Here is a simple question....I have a subreport on a designer. In that
subreport I have a "DocFee" currency field. In the Summary band for the
subreport I put a total field. ie "sum(DocFee)". This works fine, and gives
the correct total for the subreport.

I also want a Grand Total at the end of the report, so in the report Summary
band I put the same total field (DBCalc) - ie "sum(DocFee)" assuming that
this will total the DB field over the whole report. This does not work. It
comes up with some random number that has no bearing on the total - in fact,
I cannot see where it gets the number from. For example, on the report in
front of me I have three totals, $193, $80 and $69. The Grand Total is $91!!
Does not make sense.

Am I doing this correctly??
